Imprinted Concrete Driveways Bridgnorth

Oldbury | Knowlesands | Tasley | Fenn Gate | Danesford | Bromley

First off, perhaps we can talk about edgings, borders and perimeters. You should note that when you have laid a concrete surface, a wall can safely be placed on top of that concrete. It does not require foundations. However, if the wall is placed beside the pattern imprinted concrete surface rather than on top of it, you need to create adequate foundations for this structure. This too can be created using concrete. The foundations require a width of about a foot, and the bricks will be placed atop this structure. You need a trench that is two thirds of a foot deep, and you can mark it out using pegs and string. Other tools you require include a spirit level and a straight edge to ensure that once your concrete is laid, the wall will ultimately be level. The trench is then filled with compacted hard core and the concrete is brought up to about an inch below level ground. From there, you start to build your wall after the concrete has set.

Polythene sheeting can be used to keep rain off mortar and concrete work. This can also prevent it from drying too quickly in the event of very hot weather. When it comes to the wall, you can string a line along the set concrete before the wall has been built, where the edge of the wall is to stop. This will guarantee that the imprinted concrete Bridgnorth surface and the wall itself will start and finish at the right points. Mortar, cement and concrete should always be easy to work with and on, but not sloppy. This is particularly true of an imprinted concrete surface, and your surfacing contractor or specialist will know the exact proportion of water to add to the mix to achieve this.
